Humorous commercials

Lorcan will do a talk on directing comedy commercials, including how he got into directing TV commercials and the process of working with ad agencies, from storyboarding to casting and post production. After showing some work, he’ll do a Q&A with any aspiring directors and offer them some advice.

After completing a BA in graphic design in Dublin, Lorcan moved to London to work for Charlie Brooker's (Black Mirror, Nathan Barley) company Zeppotron as a motion designer, editor and later as a director. In 2004 Lorcan returned to Dublin to set up Lovely Productions. Since then Lorcan has written and directed several award winning short films, TV commercials and music videos. His debut feature WITHOUT NAME was funded under the Catalyst Project and will premiere at TIFF in September. He is currently collaborating with writer Garret Shanley (Foxes/Without Name) on the sci-fi feature ‘VIVARIUM’, dystopian tragedy 'GOLIATH', supernatural thriller 'NOCEBO' and time bending 'PRECIPICE'.

He is represented by Jack Thomas @ Independent Talent, London
